Subtext Theatre have been making and producing theatre since 2012 including sell out runs at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival and we are delighted to be working in our new home above this beautiful pub. This year's programme will include many exciting in-house productions as well as hosting many different theatre company's work and working with the community to create new theatre. ARTISTIC DIRECTOR OF SUBTEXT AT THE EARL OF DERBY
Millie studied Drama and Theatre Arts (BA honours) at Goldsmith's College University of London. After having been involved with Subtext Theatre for many years, Millie was made artistic director of Subtext Theatre at the end of 2019 and is also a professional actress.
Acting credits include A Midsummer Night's Dream (Al Fresco Theatre), The History Of Britain Tour (Hobgoblin Theatre Company), Macbeth (Factory Theatre Company), Dawn (The Space) Dick Whittington (Mercury Theatre Colchester), Timon Of Athen's (Factory Theatre Company @ The Willow Globe), Romeo And Juliet (Vault's Theatre Festival, London), Fantastic Mr Fox (Regents Park Open Air Theatre), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (London Palladium), The Shadow Master (Kings Head Theatre, London), The Roman Mysteries (CBBC), The Loneliness of The Long Distance Runner (BBC Radio 4), Angel Pavement (BBC radio 4), Buddenbrooks (BBC Radio 4), Mrs. Mabb (BBC Radio 4)
Theatre practitioner work includes teaching Music and Shakespeare at the ALRA Summer Schools, Women in Shakespeare workshops at St Mary's School Colchester and Musical Theatre, Acting and Verse & Prose LAMDA coaching for Theatre Arts Academy and private students.
Millie has been a local to the Telegraph Hill area for almost a decade and is thrilled to now be Artistic Director of this new and exciting venue!
